General

What is Adquizition?

Adquizition is an innovative trivia game and rewards platform that aims to make interacting with content much more fun, engaging, and rewarding.

Is there an age limit to play?

Yes. Players must be 14 years old or older to play.

Why should I play?

Adquizition allows you to earn real prizes or donate to your favorite charities/schools with the tickets that you earn. You may also save coupons, samples, and promotions for some of your favorite brands as you play. If you're more excited about the trivia aspects, our questions aren't repeated and are unlike what you'll see anywhere else. Plus, you can play any time you would like!

How much does it cost to play?

Nothing. Our game is free to play and we hope to always keep it that way. You can download the Adquizition app for free on the App Store (for iPhone and iPad) and Google Play (for Android).

How do I start playing?

If you're logged into the Adquizition app, you can start playing by hitting the Play button or by choosing a suggested Event on the home screen. If you're in one of our partner apps/sites, simply click Play on the unit and you should be able to start playing immediately.

How do Events work?

Events are themed, limited-time challenges that allow you to compete against all other players--and potentially earn larger and more custom prizes! Once you start the event, you will play the number of pre-determined pieces of content and associated questions. Once finished, you'll see an overall leaderboard for that Event where you can compare your performance to everyone who also played it. Feel free to tell your friends if you scored higher than they did!

If I play in the Adquizition app and different partner apps and sites, will I see the same content and questions over and over again?

Our goal is for you to only see a specific question set for a piece of content once --regardless of where you see it. This should happen as long as you're properly logged in. If not, please let us know.

Can I skip content that I do not want to watch?

In the Adquizition app, you may skip up to 5 pieces of content per session when in solo play mode. Since we don't know if you want to skip these for the moment or permanently, they will be reassigned to you at a later time. You never know...you may end up really liking that thing that you previously skipped! Plus, hopefully you'll learn something new by playing it.

What countries (and languages) can I play in?

We're currently just in the United States and feature the English language. We are, however, looking to expand quickly and hope to come to a country (and language) near you! Please stay tuned.

The App

Why should I download the Adquizition app?

There are a lot of great features that may only be found in the app including content, prizes, rewards, events, statistics, overall/friend leaderboards, etc.. Additionally, if you want to redeem or donate your tickets, you must do so in the app itself.

Where do I get the app?

You may download the Adquizition app to your device for free from the Apple or Google Play app stores.

I have an older version of the app, how do I get a newer one?

We're constantly trying to improve the functionality and performance of the app. If you have an older version, you may not be fully optimizing your experience. To get the latest one, please update it from the respective Apple or Google Play app store. Hopefully your phone allows for this to be done automatically.

The Mobile Unit

Why do you have the mobile unit?

When we first started this journey, we were planning to just release the app. Potential brand, publishing, and other partners were so excited by what we were building that they wanted to be able to feature executions in their own sites and apps as well. We listened and have now created a mobile unit that allows you to play and earn rewards there as well!

I'm playing in someone else's app and my scores, reward, etc. update automatically in the Adquizition app. How does this happen?

It's magic! Just kidding. When you're logged in using your Adquizition credentials and playing in a partner's app or site, your information (e.g. score, tickets, rewards, etc.) is being saved in the background and updating in real-time. Thus, when you next log into the app, you should be able to see your updated winnings instantly!

Why should I play the mobile unit?

The mobile unit is a slimmed down version of the game play in the app. If you're in one of our partner sites or apps, you'll be able to play some fun content there and potentially even earn special rewards without ever having to leave.

Why does it show me as a Guest Player?

If you're not logged in to the mobile unit, you'll show up as a guest player. Unfortunately, your tickets and rewards will not save to your account if you continue to play as the guest player. Please log in to get credit for your hard work!

Does it matter if I play an Event in the app or elsewhere in the mobile unit?

If you see the same Event in the Adquizition app or in the mobile unit on a partner site, you're welcome to play in either place. Simply log in and start playing!

Sign Up / Registration / Sign In

How do I sign up?

When you first download the app, you'll go through a quick tutorial and then be allowed to sign up (or do so after playing up to three pieces of content as a guest player). You may sign up using your email address and providing some basic information like your name and age. If you are in the mobile unit in one of our partner sites or apps, you may register by clicking the sign up button on the first or last screen of one of our units. If you have any issues with this, please email [email protected] and we'll be happy to help you.

How will my information be used?

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us and we use your information to provide you content that is more tailored to your interests and to provide you with a better overall experience! Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more detailed information. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

A friend sent me a referral code. Where do I put it in?

You may enter in the referral code at the bottom of the Sign Up screen. You'll receive your referral tickets (and they'll receive theirs) once you've reached the third level.

Where can I find my referral code?

Your referral code can be found at the bottom of the Account Info Screen or at the top of your Menu screen in the Adquizition app. You may also find it in the message when you invite a friend through the Invite Friends option!

What if my friend joined using my referral code, but I haven't yet received the bonus tickets?

Please confirm that your friend used the proper referral code and spelled it correctly when signing up. If they did, you'll receive your bonus tickets after they reach the third level.

What if I forget my password?

Please don't worry! You may hit the "Forgot Login?" option on the Login Screen. Once you enter the email address used to sign into your account, please click the "Email Code" button. Once you receive your new code via email, you may click on the "Already have a code?" button and enter the temporary code along with your new password.

My Account / Data

Where are my account settings?

You may access your account settings by either clicking on your avatar on the home screen or by clicking the "More" button in the bottom bar of the home screen and then selecting it from the My Profile section on the menu.

What happens if I can't see any of my data/information?

If you haven't manually deleted your account, it's likely something temporary. If you just re-installed or updated the app, there's a chance you may have accidentally used another email address to log in previously. Maybe check that? If you're still having trouble, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll try to help you resolve the issue.

What information of mine will others see?

Other players will be able to see a limited amount of information on your mini profile card (seen from the Leaderboards or Friends lists). This information includes your name, avatar, city, state, your total points, your level, your % correct, your number of friends, and your favorite content. If you are playing an event or head-to-head game, others may be able to see your scores from those as well.

How do I change my email address?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to change the email address of your account. This is for your security and to prevent others from trying to take control of your account. If you have further questions about this, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Is it possible to transfer data between accounts or merge them?

Unfortunately not. Having multiple accounts is against our Terms of Service. If you have unintentionally signed up for two accounts, please choose the one you want to keep and delete the other. Prior to deleting it, don't forget to redeem your tickets!

What if I no longer have access to the email account I used to sign up?

You should still be able to log in to your account with your email address even if you no longer have access to the account. As long as you remember your password, you should be good to go. If not, there may not be much we can do.

What does it mean if see a message that my device or account is blocked?

That's not good. If you receive a message saying your device or account is blocked, you've likely violated our Terms of Service. It will be difficult to get your account reinstated. If you believe this was done in error, please contact us at [email protected].

How do I permanently delete my account?

We're working on functionality to allow you to delete your account in the app. In the meantime, please send us a request to do so at [email protected]. Please note: By deleting your account completely, you'll lose all your stats, data, tickets, achievements, and game history. It's not possible to retrieve deleted accounts.

Technical / System Requirements

How do I prevent the app from crashing, lagging, or poor performance?

Some of the most common issues we see with this come from (a) a bad wifi or bandwidth connection; (b) lack of storage on your phone (e.g. device is full); or (c) lack of available memory; Please check for these and try again! If you still are having issues, please reach out to us at [email protected].

I keep getting a network error. What can I do?

Please check your network wifi connection. Often, being on wifi is preferred to being on 3G/4G. Even if you have good signal strength, a congested network may limit your bandwidth. You can find some free bandwidth tests online to test your connection. We recommend having at least 10Mb download and 3 Mb upload speeds for the game to run properly.

What are the minimal technical requirements to have the app on my phone?

Phones are constantly changing and we're working hard to support as many as we can. Unfortunately, much of this is out of our control as it depends on things like operating systems, size, etc.. If we don't support your version, please email us at [email protected] and we'll try to look into it.

What happens if I get a call/text in the middle of my game?

It depends on where you are! If you are in the middle of piece of content, you should be able to resume normally as long as the app hasn't timed out. Worst-case, you may have to see the content again. If you are in the middle of a question, you may return to answer it. Your timer will keep running so you may get the minimum number of tickets for that question if you answer it correctly. Hopefully that call or text was worth it!

Tickets, Prizes, Donations, and Other Rewards

Can I actually get real prizes and gift cards for playing?

Yes! We believe that it shouldn't only be companies that gain value from you seeing content. You deserve to share in the rewards as well!

Where does the money for prizes/donations come from?

The prizes are sponsored by Adquizition, LLC or one of our partners.

What's the difference between Points and Tickets?

Points are only earned while answering questions and show how well you're playing the game. They help give you an apples-to-apples comparison against other players (which is best reflected in the Leaderboards). Tickets, on the other hand, are earned for answering questions and performing other activities (e.g. referrals, rating content, doing surveys, etc.). Tickets can be redeemed for prizes or donated to charities.

How do I earn Tickets?

Tickets can be earned in a number of different ways. The fastest way to get tickets is by answering the trivia questions correctly. Tickets may also be earned by completing market research surveys, rating content, providing referrals, telling us more about you, selecting your category preferences, leveling up, and performing other actions in the game.

Why do I see different ticket types?

Our primary ticket is the Adquizition ticket type. You may, however, earn those of other types as well. We allow our partners to host custom executions and events that may require a set of prizes and rewards which need a custom ticket. You can find all of the ticket types you have earned by hitting the question mark next to the "total" label in the top section of the Home Screen and their associated prizes by hitting the Redeem button at the bottom of the Home Screen.

What do tickets get me? How do I redeem my tickets for prizes?

You can redeem your tickets for different items in the prize catalog shown on the "Prize Offers" screen (after hitting the Redeem button on the Home Screen). We currently have a wide range of digital gift cards for some of your favorite retailers, online sites, restaurants, movie theaters, coffee shops, etc. You'll be able to easily see if you have enough tickets to get the prize and how many are still available. If you like an item and have enough tickets for it, all you'll have to do is click the Redeem button at the bottom and confirm that you want the prize! If you can't click on the Redeem button, you may be trying to get a physical prize and will have to provide a mailing address before being able to do so. Once you hit Redeem, you'll be on your way to getting cool stuff!

Where can I see my redeemed prizes?

Once you redeem your tickets for a prize, it will show up on the My Rewards Screen (accessed from the bottom of the Home Screen). If a physical prize, it may have already been mailed to you. If a digital gift card, you will be able to view it once you click on the item and hit "View Prize". If you have already used the prize, simply hit "Hide" on the My Rewards Screen and you won't see it again!

What if I don't like any of the prizes listed?

We're always looking to add more prizes and get more partners on board.  If you don't see something you like, keep earning those tickets and hopefully you'll see something you like later. Alternately, you may redeem your tickets for a CharityChoice gift card and donate to a charity or school of your choice! You may also play one of our events in the app or on one of our partner sites for a chance to win a bigger, more exciting prize.

How do I donate my tickets to my favorite charity or school?

We're glad you asked! We're starting by offering a digital CharityChoice gift card, which you can use to donate to over a thousand charities and schools. Behind the scenes, we're also working to see if we can partner with a number of different charities and schools that you will be able to donate your tickets to directly in the future. If you would like to donate to a specific organization, please let us know and we'll see how we can get them added to our list.

Do I have to pay taxes on prizes I earn?

Whether you have a tax liability on your prize winnings will likely depend on where you live. You should check with your accountant or government for tax advice regarding your individual situation. Adquizition, LLC does not make withholdings for your taxes and these tax liabilities are fully your responsibility. We completely understand that financial situations may vary. If you feel like the tax implications for a large Prize are not worth it, you're welcome to decline the prize and let someone else win it. 

I'm having trouble redeeming my tickets. What should I do?

We're sorry to hear this. Please contact us at [email protected] with the email address used for your account and the prize that you're trying to redeem. We’ll be happy to look into it for you.

What other rewards can I earn?

You may earn rewards like coupons, discounts, samples, and partner-specific promotions as you play the game. Please make sure to save them to your account to access them later.

Where can I find these other rewards?

You can see the rewards by clicking the "My Rewards" button in the bar at the bottom of the Home Screen. Your coupons and discounts can be found under the Coupons tab, samples under the Samples tab, and all other promotions under the Brand Promos tab.

Points

How do I earn points?

Points may be earned by answering questions correctly. The Leaderboards you see are ranked based on total points earned.

Can I redeem points for anything?

Unfortunately not. When you answer questions correctly, you will earn a proportionate number of tickets that you can redeem for prizes though!

Why do questions have a minimum point value?

We understand that life happens and that you may have to respond to a phone call or a text in the middle of a question. Because of this, we instituted a minimum. We believe you should at least get some credit for answering it correctly!

What are the Leaderboards for?

Leaderboards allow you to see how you're doing compared to other players. If you want to see how you compare relative to everyone else, you can check out the Top Leaderboard. If you want bragging rights against your friends, feel free to look at the Friend Leaderboard instead. Events also have their own leaderboards so you can see how you did against others playing the same event.

What happens if I get enough points to get to the next Level?

Levels help determine progress in the game! We're working on figuring out how to make them more fun. For now, they'll give you a sense of achievement and a way to earn more tickets when you level up.

Events

What are Events?

Events are themed, limited-time challenges that allow you to compete against other players to potentially earn larger and more exciting custom prizes!

Where do I find events?

Events may be found in the Adquizition app under the notifications section on your Home Screen, from the app menu screen, and/or in our mobile unit on partners' apps and sites.

What rewards can I earn for playing an event?

Events may have fun and unique prizes and rewards for playing! Please check the details of the event to see what you may be able to win.

Where do I see what prizes are being offered for an event?

You should be able to see the prizes for the event by clicking on the View Prizes link on the event description card before you start playing.

If I win a prize, how and when should I expect to get it?

The rules for the specific event that you are playing should explicitly outline the awarding of prizes. Please check there for details on delivery and timing.

Do my points from events carry over to my overall point score and the overall Leaderboard?

Yes. Your overall points reflect all of the points you've earned with us--whether in an event, solo-play game, or those earned in a partner's site (as long as you are logged in to your account).

Do my tickets from an Event carry over to my overall ticket totals?

Your overall ticket totals will reflect all of the tickets you've earned. Whether you can actually redeem them may depend on the ticket type-- as tickets earned for a specific Event may only be used to redeem prizes for that Event itself or for prizes for the company sponsoring it. If the Event uses the Adquizition ticket type, you'll be able to redeem them in the same way you would all of your other Adquizition tickets!

Why do I see the same Event on multiple sites?

Our brands, publishers, and other partners often want to reach as many people as they can. We, thus, developed our system to allow them to showcase an Event in multiple places.

Can I actually play the same Event on multiple sites?

Yes. As long as you're logged in, your progress on the event should be saved and you can start playing where you last left off.

Why can I no longer see the Event I played?

It depends on where you're looking. Our Events are limited-time challenges and they may have been taken down if time ran out. If you already played the Event and want to see your results, you should be able to do so from the Menu in the app under your Completed Events.

Friends

How do I invite my friends?

To invite friends, you may do so from the "Find Friends" screen. If you know that they already have an account with us, you can try to search for their name at the top of the screen or click on the Add from Contacts button (after which they should automatically appear in your Suggested Friends list). If they don't yet have an account with us or you're unsure whether they do, you can simply click on the "Invite Friends" button and manually invite them via text, email, Facebook, or a host of other options.

What if I accidentally approved someone who added me as a friend?

No need to worry. If you no longer want to be friends with someone in the app, simply go to your Friends list and click the "Unfriend" button under their name.

How do I report a bug?

We're constantly trying to improve your experience playing our game. Unfortunately, sometimes things break when we build new features. Our goal is to fix them as quickly as possible--before you even see them. If you do see something that we missed, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll try to address it as quickly as we can.

How do I report a broken link, wrong answer, vague question, etc.?

Things are constantly changing and our partners may change their links/sites/questions without telling us. If you see an incorrect question or answer, misspelling, broken link, or a site that no longer points to what it should, please either let us know using the "Give Content Feedback" button on the last screen for that particular piece of content (the one with your results after the 5th question) or email us at [email protected] and we will try to fix it as quickly as possible.

How do I report inappropriate behavior by another player?

If, under any circumstances, you experience abuse, inappropriate behavior, vulgar language, threats, etc. from another player on our platform, please immediately unfriend them and report the user to us at [email protected]. Threats are taken extremely seriously and will be met with appropriate action. If someone acts against our Terms of Service, we may terminate their access to our platform.

I suspect someone may be cheating. How should I handle this?

We treat cheating with utmost importance. It's not fair to anyone. If you suspect someone of cheating, please email us at [email protected] and we will do our best to look into it as quickly as possible. Cheating is prohibited in our Terms of Service and we may terminate their access to our platform.

How do I submit a complaint about copyright, trademark, impersonation, or other Terms of Service or Privacy issues?
